The CDO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, works collaboratively with Program and Operations leadership, and serves as a member of the executive team. The CDO is responsible for securing the private financial resources needed for operational costs and long-term sustainability of Big Brothers Big Sisters, enhancing current fund development initiatives, developing, evaluating and maintaining new private funding sources and personally managing a portfolio of 50-150 prospective donors. The CDO’s primary responsibility is securing major gifts. To that end, the CDO has only two direct reports – the Director of Development and a half time administrative assistant. Community-Based Match Support Specialist: Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is to provide match support to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with BBBS on the part of volunteers. The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: match closure rate, match retention rate, average match length, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in social services, human resources or related field. Assessment and relationship development experience with child and adult populations; understanding of child development and family dynamics; intake or interview experience. Proficiency in Microsoft OFFICE; including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have car, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.

Grants Coordinator (part-time): The Grants Coordinator will primarily be responsible for cultivating and maintaining existing relationships with foundations and government funding sources and researching and identifying new foundation and government grant opportunities to ensure support for programs and services delivered by the agency. This will include analyzing proposed legislation, regulations, or rule changes in order to determine how agency services could be impacted and enhanced through government grants. The position qualifications include five years progressive related experience, specifically in grant writing with documented results. A minimum of a BA/BS degree from an accredited college majoring in a related field; advanced degrees are preferred. Staff/volunteer supervision and/or management experience is preferred. Marketing/Communications Volunteer: BBBS is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to assist the Development Department with promotions and special events. Specific duties include but are not limited to: research, drafting press releases, social media endeavors, volunteer management and recruitment, event promotions, fundraising and more. This internship will provide valuable, real-world experience, as well as providing BBBS with support. This is a part-time, nonpaid internship with a three month commitment. Statistician Volunteer: BBBS is seeking a Volunteer Statistician to compile, correlate, and analyze data leading to ultimate community impact. With a focus on child outcomes, the Statistician will work with organizational leadership and community partners to evaluate trends of BBBS match relationships, determining patterns leading to maximized impact. This is a part-time, nonpaid volunteer position requires a minimum commitment of one year. A working knowledge of Quality Improvement, Statistical Analysis, and some college is preferred. This volunteer opportunity will provide unique, real-world Analysis and project management experience. Information Technology Volunteer: BBBS is seeking an IT Intern to assist the Operations Department with Help Desk Maintenance, Equipment Repair and Inventory, and Network Administration. Specific duties include but are not limited to: responding to help desk inquiries, performing regular computer maintenance, Server monitoring and troubleshooting, and assisting to develop learning opportunities for BBBS employees. This internship will provide valuable real-world experience and provide Big Brothers Big Sisters with much needed support. This is a part-time, nonpaid internship with a minimum of a three month commitment. A working knowledge of Technology infrastructure and high school diploma are required and some college is preferred.
