Vonderau Slam Fishing Tournament: A Charitable Cause & a Commemoration
To many Florida Natives the sport of fishing is simply an act of leisure, but to Matthew Vonderau, it was a way of life. As a newly married man, father of an infant son and avid lover of days on the water Matthew Vonderau had it all, until the night of his fatal car accident. Today, he lives on through the Vonderau Slam Fishing Tournament, created in his memory to better the community.
Attention MEN! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County will launch the fourth annual 100 Men in 100 Days Campaign on June 1, 2014. 100 Men in 100 Days was created to raise awareness for the constant need for male involvement in our school based and community based mentoring programs.
Pat Craven Announced as Executive Successor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County
According to the new leader, he has high aspirations to ultimately eliminate Big Brothers Big Sisters’ waiting list, consisting of more than 200 at-risk youth. This means matching more children with positive role models which will be a major goal of the Pinellas agency until their waiting list no longer exists.
